Suge Knight & Darkseid mash-up

Here’s the master of the evil New Godz from the dark planet Los Apokalips, Sugeseid.  Suge and Darkseid are a natural fit given their statuses in their respective media forms.  Suge’s beard even kind of looks like the base of Darkseid’s helmet.  This is a similar take on the concept as the one presented recently by Grant Morrison’s Mr. Miracle storyline in his excellent series Seven Soldiers, the events of which culminated in Final Crisis.  I’m thinking of creating an amalgamated mythology of the 4th World and Death Row sagas.  Dre as Orion?  Tupac as the man who escapes death itself, Mr. Miracle?  Even though she isn’t a part of all that shit, I gotta have a Missy Elliott/Granny Goodness mash up.  Missy Goodness, anyone?

Notorious BIG and MODOK mash-up

First up is BRO.D.O.C., the BROther Designed Only for Chillin’.  This was the beginning of this whole idea of mashing up Hip Hop icons and comic books.  I had the notion to mix Biggie and MODOK up a while ago, simply because of physical characteristics that I thought would be hilarious mixed together.  MODOK, in contrast to Biggie, is a perpetually angry and tense looking motherfucker, so this particular weapon of AIM is used to get it poppin wherever he lands.  A friend had suggested the idea of having Puffy dancing in the background in an AIM beesuit, which was an amazing idea, but I had already sent the print off to press at that point.  Maybe a variant edition sometime in the future?
